My buddy CJ and I were set up in an office next to Luc Besson's on the Sony lot for a few months. We had a blast, not just drawing fun boards, but being on a movie studio lot every day. Luc was a fun and generous guy. He gave very specific direction and drew some of the worst drawings to illustrate his point I have ever seen, but I always understood what he wanted. He was also super secretive about the script. When I once asked him who lived on a certain planet, he replied - "Lee, you are asking too many questions." Due to the secrecy of the script, I was only able to sneak one panel of my boards out and did not show anyone until the movie's release. He did however sign my La Femme Nikita laserdisc.
